About the Blackall Range Woodies

The Blackall Range Woodcrafters Guild was formed in 1996 to create a shared space on the Blackall Range where lovers of wood and woodcrafting from all walks of life could come together and practice their craft.

Today, it is a thriving community space where people come together to access a range of timber, tools and machinery.

The Woodies create everything from children’s toys and jewellery boxes to grand pieces of furniture and fine art sculptures.

Beginners can learn from experienced woodworkers through a range of workshops and events, and the community is welcome to visit periodic exhibitions and purchase the work of talented local artisans.

About the Maleny Men's Shed

The Maleny Men’s Shed is a community organisation where men get together, enjoy some hands-on activities, make new friends and connect.

Men’s Sheds are found in many cities and towns around Australia and continue to spring up internationally.

Shed activities include woodwork, metalwork, blacksmithing, and gardening.

With a wealth of skills and knowledge in these networks, they are the perfect place for intergenerational sharing and learning.

New members are always welcome.
