2024 Parking Update

Due to the ongoing wet weather we have had in the lead-up to the Maleny Wood Expo, there are some changes to the parking availability at the venue.

Our amazing community around town is doing all they can to make sure you have a great weekend! We thank you for your understanding in advance.

Unfortunately the grounds are now too wet in many sections to park heavy vehicles on, so please note the following suggestions:

  • Please car pool where you can to help reduce the number of vehicles coming into this beautiful small town.
  • There will be limited parking at the Maleny Showgrounds, with some parking available for 4WD vehicles only.
  • Disability parking will still be available at the Showgrounds, please show your pass and follow the directions of Maleny Rotary volunteers.
  • You will be able to drop guests off at the gate and then go and find a park.
  • Please park in Maleny and surrounds and walk into the Showgrounds if you are able.
  • There is a lovely boardwalk you can follow along the creek from Coral St (you may even see some local Platypus!)
  • Parking is also available in the staff car park at Maleny State High School on Bunya St.
For those who would like a ride, there will be two shuttle buses running all weekend from 8am – 4pm running between the Showgrounds and the two local schools:

 
Buses will have ‘Maleny Wood Expo’ on the bus, run by Mystic Mountain Tours, so if you see the bus, you are also welcome to flag the bus down.

The Barung Landcare mini-bus will also be running from these locations too, please feel free to flag it down as well.
 
There are public transport options also available from Landsborough Train Station. 
 
And And Top of the Range Transfers and Tours has also offered to be on standby for private bookings for their transfer vans (at your expense) and can be contacted at 0461 401 283 or info@topoftherange.vip 
 
If you purchase items and would like to drive into the grounds and pick them up, that arrangement will still be available. Just speak to your exhibitor to make arrangements for this.
 
We apologise for the inconvenience, but we are set for a most excellent weekend. Our exhibitors have done a fantastic job in the weather, our spirits are high, and we are ready to greet you with a big welcome smile when you arrive!
