Greenwood Spoon Carving
with Danny Holmes | Mudjimba Woodcraft
1 day workshop
Using a log/billet or prepared blank, and a selection of axe, sloyd knife, spoon knife, and drawknife, you will create your very own spoon. Greenwood carving is different in that the wood is fresh, which allows for easier carving, using traditional methods.
This course caters for beginners and experienced carvers alike. Please note there are only tools for one left handed student.
Cost: $150 INCLUDES MALENY WOOD EXPO 3 DAY PASS

- Sunday May 5th, 9am to 3pm
- Monday May 6th, 9am to 3pm
All tools and materials provided.

- Closed in shoes essential

About Danny Holmes
Danny was first drawn to greenwood spoon carving because of its traditional methods and simple hand tools. The process of taking a log, that would otherwise be chipped or burned, and creating a wonderful, usable item, limited only by your imagination is something very special. Danny looks forward to passing on this passion to his students.
